The Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs presents Judy Shepard, who lost her son, Matthew, to a murder motivated by anti-gay hate. Since Matthew's death in 1998, Shepard has testified before the U.S. Senate in support of the Hate Crimes Prevention Act, done significant work with the Human Rights Campaign, and spoken all over the country. She will discuss making schools and communities safer for everyone, regardless of race, sex, religion or sexual orientation.
