KETC/Channel 9 staff will discuss the housing crisis and provide information on non-profit agencies that offer free consultation to individuals in need.

A housing counselor from Beyond Housing will highlight ways to prevent foreclosure and explain how housing consultants can help.

A question and answer session will follow the presentation.

Many couples have the mentality of "Well, I only have to take care of myself financially and maybe help support my spouse, but that's really it." But what happens when someone is no longer capable of making decisions for themselves? What happens to the property that is shared? Who inherits and/or handles the house, car, bank accounts?

The overall goal of this workshop is to present couples with solutions to cover their assets (and future) for each other and their family members.

An informational seminar designed to help clarify and understand the various types of home loans and their effect. Topics include steps on how to interpret your credit scores and report as well as how credit directly effects your options in the world, not just in home ownership. Individuals will also receive education in how to properly budget not just your house payment, but your housing expenses.

The overall goal is empowerment through education for making choices in your home ownership options.

On Saturday November 15 2008, across the United States cities will stand with California in a public protest regarding the recent outcome of Proposition 8.

At 12 noon, the St. Louis community will take to the steps of the Old Court House (Broadway and Market) and speak out against Proposition 8 and all of the other pro-equality losses that we have faced during the recent election. We need supporter all over the St. Louis region to work with us and get out the protest.

We have one week and must react to the pro-hate votes cast against our community. Let’s help our LGBTQ friends, families, neighbors, and each other to IMPACT this country with a demand for our basic human rights! Join the cause, join the voice, and JOIN THE IMPACT!
